Sara Anjargolian
Sara Anjargolian is a Los Angeles-based photographer and attorney. She holds a BA in Political Science/Public Policy from
UCLA and a law degree from Berkeley. After serving as a trial lawyer for the Justice Department in Washington, Sara moved
to Armenia on a Fulbright scholarship. She lived in Armenia for two years during which time she photographed extensively
throughout the region and produced several documentaries with Bars Media, a documentary film studio in Yerevan. Sara later
served as Associate Professor/Assistant Dean at the American University of Armenia law department where her work focused
on the changing role of women in post-Soviet transitional societies. She published her research in the book The State of Law
in the South Caucasus, a Palgrave Macmillan publication.
Since her return to Los Angeles, Sara’s photography has been featured in numerous exhibitions and presentations and utilized
in awareness and fundraising campaigns, raising thousands of dollars for non-profit organizations such as the Real Medicine
Foundation, the International Institute for Genocide and Human Rights, the Armenia Fund, and the Tufenkian Foundation.
Sara’s current projects include How We Live, a photography exhibit and book documenting life on the margins in Armenia, in
partnership with the Tufenkian Foundation, and Not Here, a second photography book project which tells the story of nine

Narineh Mirzaeian
Narineh Mirzaeian is a Los Angeles based designer and Associate at Gehry Partners where she's played a key role on numerous
projects completed and under construction in California, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, Paris, Basel and Abu Dhabi. Previously she
was project
designer at Graft, where she contributed to the realization of several AIA award winning projects and co-principal of GeAr
where she was
awarded Second Prize at the 2003 Miami Biennale with the project 'TransTatou' and invited to take part in the Art
Center College of Design
exhibition 'Garden Lab' with the 'Vertical Garden' installation. She has also participated in various Film
Festivals with her animated short
'The Relic'. Ms Mirzaeian holds a professional degree in Architecture from the University of Southern
California and a Master of Architecture
degree from the University of California, Los Angeles where her thesis project, in collaboration
with Thom Mayne, was published as part of
the LA NOW series, garnering numerous awards, including the prestigious P/A Award. She's
taught at the University of California, Los
Angeles and most recently at the Southern California Institute of Architecture. Her work has
been published in Metropolis, Interior Design,
Architectural Record, Architecture, GA Document and exhibited internationally.
In 1997, Narineh traveled to Armenia as a first time volunteer with the Land and Culture Organization. In the years following, she has spent numerous months living and working in remote villages throughout Armenia.
Karlo Gharabegian
Karlo Gharabegian is a Los Angeles based editor that has devoted his professional career to the entertainment business for the past 12 years. As a four time Emmy Award winning editor, most recently winning the coveted 2007 Best Editor Emmy, he is a highly sought after commodity for major television stations such as FOX, CBS, ESPN, TLC, and the NFL Network. At the current time Mr. Gharabegian is an editor for the 28 year running national show Entertainment Tonight and its sister show The Insider. Additionally, Gharabegian is the Creative Director of Aces Up Productions which is involved in a myriad of projects such as independent films, commercials, and public service announcements just to name a few. Mr. Gharabegian’s devotion to the entertainment business is surpassed only by his philanthropic endeavors and these too have received significant acclaim. More specifically he has won an “Outstanding TV Journalism” national GLAAD award for a news segment that exposed the fatal hate crime of Gwen Araujo. His work with the nonprofit organization Heal the Bay, brought awareness to the conservation of our local beaches and earned him an Emmy Award for his producing role in the one hour special. Presently, Mr. Gharabegian has been volunteering a significant amount of time producing webisodes for the nonprofit organization Animal Advocates Alliance in an attempt to bring the needs and rights of animals to the consciousness of the community. Mr. Gharabegian is passionate about his work and his passion is matched by his professionalism as well as his creativity.
Mary Minassians
Mary Minassians is a Los Angeles based freelance graphic designer. She graduated from Art Center College of Design in 1992. She began her career at the design firm of Bass/Yager and Associates, collaborating the development and the re-design of a new logo and signage system for The Getty Center Museum, in conjunction with the architectural offices of Richard Meier. Other noteworthy projects at Bass/Yager included: packaging design for Lawry’s Food, Inc., design guidelines for Japan Energy Corporation, and Logo development for Kia Motor Corporation.
After Bass/Yager, Mary entered into a contract with Disney as a full-time freelance graphic designer in the Standard Characters division, creating retail design for various Disney characters. At Disney’s ABC Network Licensing Division, Mary designed and developed the ESPN and X-Games style guides. She also designed the packaging and mini-style guide for Doug the cartoon series. Subsequently Mary entered into another contract with 20th Century Fox, Licensing & Merchandising Division. As a freelance Graphic Designer, she designed various sections of the style guide for the animated cartoon series, The Simpsons. She also developed the spring supplement, and product concept development for Anastasia, the animated movie.
Mary’s projects outside of graphic design includes producing the documentary Beyond Commitment along with her husband Serj Minassians. The documentary is about the volunteers of Land and Culture Organization, and has been viewed around the world. Mary is the designer of the book How We Live, which documents life on the margins in Armenia. The book is sponsored by the Tufenkian Foundation.
